Equipment Guide for First Time Scuba Diver

Equipment Guide for First Time Scuba Diver. Explore diving culture, preparation and marine life around Çandarlı in the Northern Aegean.

Knowing the equipment builds self-confidence

When the mask, fins, diving suit, tank, regulator, balance vest and weight system are seen together for the first time, the crowd may stand still. Asking ahead of time what each part does reduces uncertainty before getting on the water. Maintenance and suitability of dive center equipment is a professional responsibility.

Size and fit

The mask should not hurt your face; The dress should be appropriate so that it does not hinder movement. It is important that the equipment not only exists but is set up correctly. It is not necessary to use newly purchased equipment on the first dive; It is necessary to learn from the current program what is provided by the center.

Short check before entering the water

The participant controls his/her own equipment according to the instructions of the instructor rather than adjusting it independently. Breathing, weight, connections, indicators and buddy system are covered as part of the training/briefing. If there is any uncertainty, it is resolved before entering the water.

Preparation for photography

Underwater camera or phone case may change the conditions for participation in the dive. Fumbling with the camera can make it difficult to follow the instructor's signals, especially in the beginning. For photography, safety and team control must come first.
