Underwater memory of a region
It's easy to reduce dive sites to a few coordinates on the map. However, the knowledge accumulated by people who sailed from the same port for years; Includes place names, sea conditions, photographic memorabilia and coastal society change. The recognition of Sırrı Özşen in Çandarlı is an important part of this memory.
In the news dated 2013, the areas associated with Deep Diving were mentioned one by one; Kız Kulesi, Kara Ada, two counters and Maltepe Burnu have been visible in the local dive language. Subsequent photo sharing and sea cleaning news indicate a different environment formed around the centre.
How will the 1997 narrative be documented?
A business directory lists 1997 as the year of establishment. We want to strengthen it with old brochures, licenses, first boat photos or instructor certificates from this historical center. Show proven milestones year by year on the history page; is more accurate than presenting unverified memories as definitive history.
Local guidance is not just drawing a route
Çandarlı's underwater conditions may differ even within the same season. The value of an experienced local instructor is his ability to explain under what circumstances he would change the plan or postpone a dive. These show real education and responsibility rather than ready-made marketing cliché.
How does this archive grow?
A living archive can be established with a short interview with Sırrı Hoca, photos of divers on leave, the image of the first dive boat, marking local names on the map and links to articles published in the press. But we won't make up interview lines; Every word that comes out of his mouth will be subject to record and approval.
