Same sea, different targets
Trial diving aims for people who want to become familiar with underwater breathing equipment to participate in a supervised experience. Certified diving means that a previously trained person participates in the activity with a diving plan appropriate to their certification and experience level. These two experiences should not be sold as the same product.
Is it possible to get a certificate by trial diving?
Having one dive experience is not the same as completing comprehensive diver training and evaluation. Certificate issued through an authorized education system requires completion of the relevant curriculum and application conditions. It should not be promised which document can be given to the person without the approval of the center and the education system.
The certified diver also needs preparation
A long break, new equipment or different sea conditions may affect the dive plan. The card showing the document level does not alone determine the entire operation. The instructor and guide team evaluate the validity of the document, current health and experience information, and the type of activity to be implemented.
Questions to ask when choosing a course
Who provides the training? Which education system is applied? What is the scope of the practical dives and the theoretical part? What are the conditions of the document and the application documents, if any? Are equipment, certificates and other expenses included in the course fee? Their written response is more meaningful than marketing phrases like “pro diver in a day.”
