Not every place that looks beautiful in the photo is suitable on the same day.
The first question when choosing a diving location is “where is the most beautiful?” it could be. However, the right start is the diver's training and the conditions on that day. Wind, waves, current, visibility, boat movement, entry and exit conditions, and equipment and escort requirements are evaluated simultaneously. A previous successful dive in the same location alone does not provide sufficient information about the safety of the new day.
They will dive for the first time
The aim of trial diving is not to go deep or see many creatures. It is essential that the participant is familiar with the equipment, understands basic instructions and is comfortable under water. The program is carried out only under conditions appropriate to the current scope of activity of the center, legal rules and instructor evaluation. The participant must share his/her own health declaration accurately; He/she should not hide any discomfort.
Certified divers
Certificate level, last dive date and actual experience are complementary information. The expectations and starting point of someone who has a certificate but has taken a long break may not be the same as someone who dives frequently. In the dive plan, the buddy system, navigation, air tracking and boat procedures are clarified with a briefing. The maximum depth seen on the Internet is not a personal goal.
underwater photographers
For the diver interested in photography, light, distance to the bottom and water movement are technically important. However, for the sake of shooting, the living spaces of the creatures are not touched, the group order is not disrupted and the dive plan is not changed. The conditions of the day on which macro shooting is planned and the day on which wide angle shooting is planned may be different; The purpose of the photo must be communicated to the team in advance.
Five good questions to ask
Why are today's sea conditions considered suitable for this spot? Does diving meet my certification and experience level? Who is responsible on the boat and on the water? How will my equipment and preparation be checked? What's the backup plan if the weather changes? Answering these clearly is more valuable than an ambitious “best diving” list.
