The names of some diving spots around Çandarlı live in the memories of divers rather than on maps. Küçük Ada, referred to as Taxi Island in some news, is one such place. When preparing the digital guide of the point, it is necessary to correctly separate both historical records and current field data.
Underwater images reflected in the press
DenizHaber archive dated 31 July 2013 describes the photo dive of Güngör Muhtaroğlu and Mustafa Güler around Taxi Island/Küçük Ada. The news reports sponges, fish and formations identified as coral in the news, recorded at a depth of approximately 30 meters. This is a recording of a news dive by two divers on a specific date; Just because all dives at the point must be done at 30 meters does not mean that these are the current limits or that there is a route suitable for everyone.
Why are photographers interested in such areas?
Rocky environments, cavities, surfaces where shadow and light change underwater, and sessile invertebrates can offer photographers a variety of frames. However, the creatures that live near a cliff may vary from season to season. The species and structure of words such as "coral" and "reef" in the images should not be determined without examining dated photographs.
Diving route and research content are different
This page is a travel atlas, not a dive plan. The actual coordinates of the point, local naming, current status, mooring and boat approach, permits, diver certificate conditions and weather conditions on that day must be evaluated by the authorized diving team. It is not correct to directly convert the past dive depth seen for a point on the internet into the current dive plan.
